Seems like with Metcalf there Boyd feels he’s only able to run the right side, and doesn’t want to trample Luke’s toes on the left, result seems to be we have both half’s going wide on their flanks but not doing anything in the middle. I suspect Boyd will be better with CHT back, he’s solid and has X factor when he chooses his moments but gives Boyd full control.
Is Chanze a sook when he isn't at the back,why can't Metcalf play like the 6 he used to be, is Pompey changing nappies all night, has Roger put butter on his hands, Nuikore is lazy af, look at his stats compared with TSS, surely TSS is in every week now, hopefully back to the original team next week 😁 watch out Storm
I wonder what difference Charnze makes organising from the back, we seem less likely to be broken open when he’s back there, or it could just be the capewell effect!
Hard to say but a lot of those misses on the edges yesterday didn’t look like an organisation thing and more poor decision making from the likes of Boyd and charnze.
Feels like Metcalf/Boyd combo will take a season to click, if it ever does. You have to wonder the decision to bring in Metcalf, drop Ali and move CNK against the Tigers, all three calls have been proved the wrong calls, and then had to back up those calls against Sharks. However, conceding these long range tries is our biggest concern. Even in the Raiders and Roosters matches these breaks happened, the teams just didn’t execute the breaks
Looking forward to hearing the boys dissect this on Tuesday, hopefully fonz is on to give us some insight. The defence is a massive issue atm and I’m nervous every time we defend our line
Taines cover defence is unreal, but how much of our right side getting shredded is communication from the back? Whilst not setting the world on fire in attack Ali was tackling well. When is Capewell back? Marata is a passenger and can spend the rest of his contract in cup. Should see if Brunson Xerri wants a mid year club change.
