TWL Rd 19: Kingz Container Crew Warriors Player Ratings
Standout performers aplenty despite the messy nature of the win over the Tigers.
A back-row bandit continues to soar in the Kingz Container Crew player ratings averages, while a couple of engine-room leaders, an effervescent veteran playmaker and a prolific winger pushed the tyro for TWL best on ground honours in a 32-6 victory at Campbelltown.
1 TAINE TUAUPIKI: Had a couple of tough moments under the high ball and one ball-carrying error on attack, but all in all another classy showing from the diminutive custodian. Finished with a game-high 209 metres on 19 carries — including a couple of incisive runs in the latter stages — and was positionally superb in some pressure situations. 7.5
2 CHARNZE NICOLL-KLOKSTAD: Looking quite at home three matches into his stint on the flank. Made a line-break and some hearty carries out of the Warriors’ end (finishing the night with 14 runs for 139 metres), while his late try-saver on Luai was a huge effort play. Still likely to be the back-five player to make way at full strength. 7
3 ALI LEIATAUA: Another rollercoaster display but on balance a good bounce-back from a shocker at Suncorp Stadium a fortnight ago. A barnstorming line-break and a strong try inside 20 minutes, finished with 122 metres on 10 runs and have five tackle-breaks. On the debit side, made three errors — one gifting the Tigers a try and another coming 30 seconds into the second half (before bombing a potential try by not passing a minute later). Enough there to be happy about. 6
4 ADAM POMPEY: Similar to Leiataua after a horrific showing against the Dolphins, with less big highlights but less glaring balls-ups. Two neat try assists for AKP, a further line-break assist, and 11 runs for 116 metres that including a powerful sideline break in the second half…culminating in a dropped ball. Made 14 tackles but had a couple of shaky defensive moments. 6
5 ALOFIANA KHAN-PEREIRA: Just keeps finding the tryline, making it 11 in nine games for the club — and 64 in 63 NRL appearances — with an excellent double where his speed and evasion made it look very easy. Also had another line-break in the first half and led the three-quarter line with 16 runs for 154 metres. Far too dangerous to consider leaving out when everyone’s available. 8
6 CHANEL HARRIS-TAVITA: A hand in two tries and kicked soundly, made 17 tackles and was busy with the ball. Has shelved his running game, though, and not quite having the usual impact defensively in recent weeks. Doing enough, but would be good to see more. 6
7 TE MAIRE MARTIN: A lovely try assist for Leiataua among four line-break assists, while his long ball in a tackle should be credited with the assist for AKP’s second. Also put up the kick for Egan’s try and had another crucial hand in Healey’s four-pointer. Made 11 runs for 94 metres and 26 tackles, though gave away a couple of set restarts for being too slow to get off the tackled player. 8
8 JAMES FISHER-HARRIS: A rousing return from six weeks on the sideline, picking up where he left off in his stellar first half of 2026. The skipper powered over for an early try to set the tone for a 17-run, 145-metre performance. Backed that up with 32 tackles in 59 minutes and got his passing game going. 8
9 WAYDE EGAN: Topped the Warriors’ tackle count with 37, before capping another quality performance at dummy-half by scoring an opportunist try. Didn’t run as much (five runs for 42 metres) as recent weeks — but didn’t really need to with the Tigers conceding line-breaks all over the park. 7.5
10 TANNER STOWERS-SMITH: A typically industrious display, churning out 13 runs for 123 metres (47 post-contact) and 28 tackles (though missing seven) in 51 minutes before a shoulder injury cut his night short. 7
11 LEKA HALASIMA: A blockbusting 31-minute return that featured a sideline break and several more powerful carries among five runs for 95 metres before getting an early mark. 6.5
12 JACOB LABAN: Coming along in leaps and bounds and tonight was a blistering continuation of his recent surge. Led all forwards on the park with 160 metres from 13 runs, featuring two line-breaks, an equal-game-high six tackle-breaks and a try assist. Racked up 35 tackles as well. There’s few bigger Leka fans than I…but Laban made end up being the best of this phenomenally gifted edge forward cohort at the Warriors. 8.5
13 ERIN CLARK: Outstanding all-round performance bookended with the early assist for JFH and a slick hand in the Warriors’ last try. In between, menaced the Tigers through the middle with 19 runs for 158 metres (55 post-contact) and reeled off 34 tackles. First class. 8
14 SAM HEALEY: It’s not the easiest role to play such limited minutes week after week, but Healey is managing to make an impact — backing up to score the Warriors’ last try for the second week in a row. Three runs for 38 metres and 14 tackles in his 20 minutes. 6
15 EDDIE IEREMIA-TOEAVA: Got a hefty 52 minutes of gametime and was solid if unspectacular, making seven runs for 67 metres and working hard for 35 tackles. 6
16 DEMITRIC VAIMAUGA: Impactful in 44 minutes across two stints, making an equal-game-high six tackle-breaks among 11 runs for 95 metres along with 20 tackles. Defusing a bomb then making a bustling, weaving run was a particular highlight. 7
17 MARATA NIUKORE: Came on for the last 25 minutes and went about his work relatively unnoticed, making four runs for 36 metres and 12 tackles. 5.5
Warriors cruise to scrappy Campbelltown dub
The final margin could have been double, but the Warriors will nevertheless take ample satisfaction out of an ultimately convincing 32-6 defeat of a spiralling Wests Tigers outfit.
