Nice work there Will, not much to disagree with though I think it's a bit rough comparing CNK to Jono Wright LOL, but I get your point.

It was obvious at the game that the performances of our centres were not in the same hemisphere as Herbie Farnsworth. He was simply elite and ours...not so much. I thought Farnsworth and Katoa had the x-factor that we sadly lacked tonight.

I think we saw the limitations in our halves too. No lack of effort but not the necessary execution. I understand why CHT was kicking deep when we were leading 16-8, but in hindsight (and I know it's easy to be wise from the grandstand) that gave the Dolphins space to tear us up.

I'm seeing too what all the Titan's fans were going on about with AKP. He has not been good for a few weeks now and if Dallin is fit next week then I reckon AKP drops out. If not Dallin then surely Luke Lauilli would be the next best choice.

Just my uneducated five cents worth.

Spot on here Will. Maybe a touch harsh on Laban, there was some good to go with the bad, but otherwise couldn’t agree more with your take

Does a fit Luke Metcalf get a look? Without Leka that backline lacked X factor compared to Phins.

At the ground, Laban and Clark were both quite slow to get up and shake off some awkward/heavy contact in the first half. Definitely felt like they weren't 100% for the rest of the game! Seeing how dead/flat they were at the end of the game makes me nervous for next week!

Of the five penalties we went for, only two of those made sense, too conservative

I’m of the opinion taking a penalty 2 points very seldom makes sense when you can keep pressure on and tire the opposition, so I was annoyed with the 50min penalty, then we got the 52min penalty and I thought that was fair enough, but in the long run I dont think it was the right choice!

It's hard not to feel like that after the way the game panned out but I actually think each of them were justified: at 0-0, then to go up by 8, at halftime with time up was a no-brainer, then to go up by 6 and 8 again. I think in this sort of game, tough and tight, just about every team is taking those options - just happened that we got an unusual amount of opportunities to kick for easy goals at those scoreboard junctures. But it was something of a curse, because it didn't let us get enough good shots at their tryline

100% I just think penalties give the opposition a chance to regroup, but as you say in this game it was probably the right choice.

Totally, probably would have worked out better if we'd not got the penalties or just had a six-again - particularly those ones early in the second half

Feel you're overly harsh on the short kicking game - which forced 2 professional fouls from the Phins to defuse. If they'd been rightly binned then would look quite different.

Hit and miss - meaning some good ones, and some absolute fizzers that let them off the hook. I didn’t see anything that warranted a single bin

Funny how if Will did a rating up to the 55th min a lot of guys AKP,Laban,Leitaua would probably have been scoring 2 points better, but at 60 it turned to custard for them, I wonder why?
