The Warriors’ record-breaking season was recognised with one of the club’s most impressive Dally M awards hauls in Sydney on Wednesday night.
James Fisher-Harris joined Steve Price (2007) and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (2020) as Warriors to have won Captain of the Year honours.
The only Warriors coach other the Daniel Anderson (2002) to be named Coach of the Year, Andrew Webster joined an illustrious group of two-time winners that includes Roy Masters, Bob Fulton, George Piggins, Tim Sheens, Wayne Bennett, Chris Anderson, Brian Smith, Craig Bellamy, Ivan Cleary and Ricky Stuart.
The Warriors had three players named in the Dally M Team of the Year.
Wayde Egan became the first Warrior to earn Hooker of the Year honours. JFH grabbed a prop berth in the Team of the Year, which Addin Fonua-Blake did in 2023-24, while Price was Prop of the Year in 2007 when it was a solo award.
Erin Clark joined champion players Ray Price, Wayne Pearce, Bradley Clyde, Jim Dymock, Paul Gallen, Jason Taumalolo and Isaah Yeo as back-to-back Lock of the Year winners.
Taine Tuaupiki’s effort in mowing down Jason Saab in Round 27 received the nod for Tackle of the Year.
Meanwhile, despite having his regular season abruptly cut short in Round 16, Jackson Ford’s mind-blowing start to the year was still enough for him to finish seventh overall in the Dally M Medal count with 39 votes. Stacey Jones (2001, 2002), Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (2018, 2019, 2021) and Shaun Johnson (2023) are the only Warriors to finish higher on the final leaderboard.
The Warriors also received the NRLW’s Provan-Summons Medal (spirit of rugby league award) for leading a haka for retiring Broncos legend Ali Brigginshaw at her farewell home game.
