LISONE AND AFOA FACE BANS

Warriors forwards Bunty Afoa and Sam Lisone are each facing a suspension after being charged by the NRL match review committee over incidents in Saturday’s upset over St George Illawarra at WIN Stadium.
Afoa will be handed a one-match ban unless he beats a grade-one charge for dangerous contact -to the head/neck in the 47th minute on Dragons forward Leeson Ah Mau.
Lisone is looking at 2-3 matches after being handed the same charge for an incident in the 64th minute involving Tariq Sims.
Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves will receive a fine of $1350 if he submits an early guilty plea for a 19th-minute careless high tackle on Cowboys veteran Kane Linnett.
Earlier in the round, Brisbane forward Josh McGuire was charged by the NRL match review committee for contrary conduct.
McGuire was handed a grade-one charge for a 24th-minute incident in Brisbane’s loss to Canterbury on Thursday night after appearing to pull the hair of Bulldogs lock Adam Elliott.
He will miss next Thursday’s clash with the Cowboys if he submits an early guilty plea but risks a two-match ban if he takes on the judiciary.
There was a similar incident two weeks ago in which footage showed McGuire pulling a similar stunt on Panthers forward Corey Harawira-Naera but the Broncos lock was not charged after that game.
Meanwhile, Wests Tigers forward Sauaso Sue can avoid a suspension if he enters an early plea over a grade one dangerous contact charge over a tackle on Newcastle fullback Kalyn Ponga on Friday night.
