WARRIORS 1995-2025 BOOK CHAPTER MENU

Young Wellington hooker Syd Eru supplanted incumbent New Zealand captain Duane Mann at club and Test level during 1995. The injury-prone Eru was the first-choice No.9 until his mid-1999 departure, before Australian recruits – and Warriors Player of the Year recipients – Jason Death and Robert Mears provided outstanding value in the role. Converted half PJ Marsh became Queensland’s hooker and starred in the 2002 grand final charge before a neck injury ended his Warriors tenure.
