ERIN CLARK TAKES OUT 2025 TWL KINGZ CONTAINER CREW PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD
After contentiously missing out on the Warriors’ official best and fairest gong, the Simon Mannering Medal, Erin Clark has capped a stellar return to the club by earning the TWL Kingz Container Crew Player of the Year award – based on our weekly KCC-sponsored player ratings – in convincing style.
Fashioned on now-defunct Rugby League Week‘s system of giving every player a rating out of 10 for every game – which Will Evans has been dishing out for each Warriors game since the start of 2018 – the TWL POTY gong goes to Warriors player with the most accumulated points at the end of the season (including finals matches). To give players that miss a few games with injury an opportunity to still vie for the honour, we’ve eliminated every player’s three lowest scores at the end of year (including matches missed).
Here’s how the leaderboard finished up.

The TWL King Container Crew Warriors Player of the Year award rewards durability as well as excellence – illustrated by top-three finishers Clark, Chanel Harris-Tavita and Leka Halasima missing just one game between them.
Simon Mannering Medal winner Roger Tuivasa-Sheck’s chances in this award were hindered by a six-match stint on the sidelines early in the campaign.
With that in mind, the player ratings averages are a more accurate indication of how each Warrior performed across the campaign. RTS just edged out Clark on that score…with daylight third.

Here’s a few more odds and ends to come out of the 2025 TWL Kingz Container Crew Player Ratings:
Among regular starting line-up players with 10-plus appearances in 2025, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak (5.69) and Marata Niukore (5.88) finished with the lowest average ratings.
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck’s team-high average of 7.33 was up a whole on his 2024 average of 6.33. Last year Addin Fonua-Blake (who took out the overall award) had the Warriors’ best average rating with 7.39, Shaun Johnson claimed the award in 2023 after averaging a record high 7.84 per game.
The highest individual score recorded during 2025 was Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad’s 9 earned in the Round 3 victory over Sydney Roosters. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (v Dolphins, Round 22; v Titans, Round 25; and v Eels, Round 26), Adam Pompey (v Eels, Round 26), Chanel Harris-Tavita (v Sharks, Round 14), Luke Metcalf (v Cowboys, Round 9; v Sharks, Round 14) and Erin Clark (v Sea Eagles, Round 27) all received scores of 8.5 during the season.
Clark joins 2021 winner Jazz Tevaga and 2024 recipient Addin Fonua-Blake as the only players to win the TWL award without also collecting the Simon Mannering Medal.
