2026 Selection table: Centres and wingers
Pompey? Yes. RTS? Of course. But the other two spots are seemingly up for grabs.
Imagine saying in any other previous pre-season that the only player locked into a definitive Warriors three-quarter spot is Adam Pompey.
But that reality for 2026 is a reflection of the long-serving clubman’s career-best campaign last year, along with the uncertainty surrounding the top combination of the Warriors’ plentiful wingers and centre options.
Firstly, let’s celebrate 120-game Pompey’s progress. The enigmatic 27-year-old played all 25 games last season (22 at centre, three on the wing) and scored 11 tries – more than double his previous best return – and chalked up seven try assists, as well averaging a tick under 100 metres per game.
‘Wets’ is virtually a certainty to line up in the centres in 2026.
